![]() ![]() We read on the book’s end flap that Billman has an MFA in Fiction and teaches fiction at Northern Michigan University. ![]() He is able to bring the reader into a level of consciousness that is how the lost traveler- and his family - must feel. I was stunned by the trenchant writing of Jon Billman. Did he fall down a crevasse and die? Slide down a hill and drown in an icy river? ![]() Was the person attacked by a lion? A bear? (Maybe Sasquatch?). Thousands have disappeared forever in parks and remote forests. The search for the missing can take days, months or years. Was the child murdered? Kidnapped? Trafficked? Run over by a car? Now think about a person who travels, often alone, through the wilderness, the northlands of America’s mountains and forests.
